On August 26th, coffee lovers in Miri gathered for an immersive two-hour coffee cupping event hosted by FUKURO Roastery. The event featured a special workshop led by Mr. He, a renowned coffee expert from Taiwan, who shared his expertise with an eager group of 16 participants, including local coffee shop owners.

Held in Step Up Coffee & Academy, the workshop attracted a mix of hobbyists and professionals keen to deepen their understanding of coffee tasting and brewing. Mr. He guided participants through the process of cupping, a standardized method used by professionals to evaluate the flavor profiles, aroma, and quality of coffee beans.
Participants had the opportunity to sample four distinct types of coffee beans, each offering a unique experience. Under Mr. He's direction, they explored the subtleties of different flavors, body, acidity, and aftertaste, comparing the characteristics of each brew. Throughout the session, Mr. He shared insights on sourcing beans, roasting techniques, and the finer points of taste identification, enriching the experience with his vast knowledge.
